1. The outer circle of colorful people holding hands represents D.C.O.T. Diversity, Community, Organization & Togetherness. 

2. FHCO is the acronym for Fox Hill Charitable Organization. 

3. The purple hearts represent love which spells the acronym H.E.A.R.T for Hope, Empowerment, Advocacy, Resourcefulness & Teamwork. 

4. The color Purple was selected because it represents Royalty, Passion, Innovation and Creativity. 

5. The first heart represents love coming from the wider community toward the inner circle, the smaller community.  

6. The inner circle represents the younger generation, the poor, needy and less fortunate in the community in need of love, nurturance, assistance, and support. 

7. The second heart represents love being generated from the inner circle, also being reciprocated (shared) back to the wider community for reciprocation. 

Cognizant of the present state of affairs as a result of the global pandemic, and mindful of the existing state of social challenges affecting our society and the Fox Hill Community before the COVID-19 pandemic, we realize that more can be done to offer assistance and support to the government in alleviating social challenges within our country in general, and within our community in particular. We know that change will only occur when concerned citizens take action.  This means moving in ways to affect mobilization to bring about positive change by activating the “HEART” (Taylor, 2019) of our Constitution; to bring comfort, relief, financial and in-kind assistance to the poor, needy, underprivileged, locked-out, shut-in, and marginalized in the Fox Hill community. 

If we do nothing, then we may never know what difference or impact we could have made to improve the social challenging conditions of our society.  If we try and fail in our trying, then we know that we would not have stood by uselessly by doing nothing.  If we try and reach at least one (1) individual or one (1) family, then we know that our labor is not vain.  Our efforts would comfort us to know that we tried to live by our guiding principles and the scripture verses guiding our Constitution. 

(Proverbs 3: 5-7)  “Trust in the Lord and lean not to thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy path.” 

(1st. Corinthians 15:58)  “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

We are an organization established to become the “HEART” of the Fox Hill Community.  We aim to inspire and deliver Hope, Empowerment, Advocacy, Resourcefulness, and Team-work in our quest to bring about mutual love and respect among our brothers and sisters in the community.  We will affect change and inspire HOPE for our poor, needy, marginalized, youth, elderly, sick, homeless, shut-in, and less fortunate within the community.  We will EMPOWER as many individuals as possible to realize their dreams so that they may become successful and productive members of society.  

We will engage an ethos of ADVOCACY to bring together like-minded individuals who share our values to assist in bringing about tangible and positive changes within the lives of our beneficiaries and the community.  We will also engage a spirit of RESOURCEFULNESS as we seek financial assistance, donations, and subscriptions to fund the Fox Hill Charitable Organizations programs.  With TEAMWORK driven by tenacity and humility, we will ensure that we attract and gain the necessary support to sustain the Fox Hill Charitable Organization.  We will be dedicated to our efforts.  We will work to ensure that we maintain an organization that operates in accountability and transparency, as we strive to execute our duties to ensure that the Fox Hill Charitable Organization achieves its’ goals and objectives through various programs to make valuable contributions to the community.  

Building on a Heritage of Community Leaders and Agents of Change

To make the Fox Hill Village a pioneer community in providing developmental and sustainable programs and services for less fortunate, marginalized, and most vulnerable individuals within the Fox Hill Community.  To become a model community organization for other Fox Hill Charitable Organizations and charitable organizations within The Bahamas.

To cultivate a heritage of developing progressive and positive change agents for the growth and development of the Fox Hill Community.  We do this by providing life-changing opportunities to inspire hope and empowerment for our poor, needy, and less fortunate individuals and families within the Fox Hill Community. We hope that such opportunities for empowerment will result in a sincere and enduring level of gratitude and appreciation from these individuals who will be the beneficiaries of such opportunities provided by the Fox Hill Charitable Organization.  

It is also our hope that these individuals (our brothers and sisters), will become agents of change who will in return become subscribers and donors of the Fox Hill Charitable Organization.  In so doing, we begin to cultivate for posterity, a new breed of community and heritage leaders, so that their contributions will assist in providing opportunities for other individuals generating a legacy of giving and sharing in the Fox Hill community.
